Data warehouse automation tech company WhereScape opened its new Quay Park offices last week, announcing a revenue increase on its last year posting of $29m, and an 82% jump in export earnings in the first six months of the year.
According to CEO Michael Whitehead, exports are now significantly larger than the local business, via the company’s global operations in the USA, UK, Singapore, and India.
Whitehead also announced new training initiatives as well as launching the company’s social responsibility initiative, supporting Women In Tech and will be offering paid internships to encourage young women to consider tech as a career path.
“We have significant numbers of new roles and have strengthened our governance, built out the development and QA teams and added a large number of staff as well as significant new business, hence the new offices.”
Whitehead said the company had secured some high profile wins over the past six months, including the Royal Bank of Scotland, Canadian Western Bank, Optus and Nissan in Australia, Vodafone in the Netherlands, Costco (to add to Tesco and Sainsbury’s), Nike Europe (supplementing Nike in the US), and the entire Volkswagen Group.
It also celebrated some firsts, with the win of the Home Office in the UK, the company’s first UK Government deal, JPA, its first Malaysian Government deal and Ganassi Racing, home of race car winner Scott Dixon.
