New Zealand founded and Brisbane based Michael Hill International opened its second store in New York on October 24th, furthering their commitment to US expansion and showing they have found the right recipe for cutting into the Big Apple. The Roosevelt Field shopping mall on Long Island is home to many iconic brands including H&M, Armani Exchange, Apple and Bloomingdale’s. The centre boasts 22 million visitors per annum.
The new store features an extensive range including Sir Michael’s personally designed bridal collection; proving very popular at the company’s 1st New York store in the Queens Center, which opened in April 2015.
This store marks 302 for the group, with the 300th opening last month in Auckland, New Zealand. The new store marks 11 in the US.
“We are thrilled to open in Roosevelt Field and we look forward to introducing even more New Yorkers to our unique and inspiring range,” says Mike Parsell, CEO of Michael Hill International.
Parsell says their experience in New York thus far has been very positive. "It gives us confidence to continue looking for new opportunities”.
