Gentrack, a global provider of specialist software solutions for airports, energy utilities and water companies, is adding three new airports to its impressive customer list.
Airport 20/20, Gentrack’s Airport Operational System will be implemented at Bristol International Airport, one of Britain’s top 10 busiest airports, as well as Cairns and Mackay Airports in Australia.
Bristol, the gateway to western England handles close to six million passengers a year on European routes. Cairns is Australia’s seventh busiest airport with more than four million passengers a year while Mackay is a noted tourist destination.
The three airports strengthen Gentrack’s position as a leading provider of airport operational systems. Its customer list already includes a wide range of airports such as Hong Kong, London City, Dublin (Ireland), Finavia, Birmingham (UK), T1 at JFK International in New York, Montreal in Canada, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Gold Coast in Australia as well as Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in New Zealand.
Gentrack CEO James Docking says the demonstrated ability of the Gentrack team to deliver on time and on budget while also fulfilling customer expectations is a winning combination for the Auckland based software solutions provider.
“Airports around the world are turning to Gentrack’s Airport 20/20 product to help them efficiently manage their complex real-time systems that enable millions of passengers to successfully complete their journeys every day.”
Installation of the Airport 20/20 solution at Bristol Airport has commenced and will support the airport’s projected growth to 10 million passengers per annum by 2020. Modules to be deployed include an Operational Database (AODB), Aeronautical Billing, Resource Management (RMS), Message Broker, Interactive Dashboards and Flight Information Display (FIDS).
At Cairns Airport, a central system will be installed to serve both Cairns and Mackay airports. The Airport 20/20 modules selected include an AODB, Message Broker, Interactive Dashboards, RMS and FIDS. A fail safe system will be installed at Mackay to protect the airport in case of a communications outage.
Headquartered in Auckland, Gentrack has 180 staff in offices in Melbourne, Brisbane and London. Recently the Company was awarded another Callaghan Innovation Growth Grant of $2.1 million which will see a total of more than $10 million invested in R&D for its airport and utility solutions over the next three years.
