Mike the owner of the Trade centre spent 45 minutes this morning talking with a couple of great women from Canada who are in the pet supply business.
While their company manufactures a range of foods and supplements specifically aimed at the health and well-being of pets they also work closely with a large distributor who deals with all manner of pet type products. These products range in type from, collars, leads, rubber bones and other such toys.
This distributor who already imports from a number of countries is also seeking products from New Zealand for the pet market.
These two ladies are in New Zealand for the next six weeks travelling and looking for potential products to export. Although travelling they will be checking emails and happy to meet companies looking at this opportunity prior to their departure if you are interested.
They made it very clear that New Zealand and Australian made products are running hot up in Canada at the moment so see a real opportunity for New Zealand companies.
Both ladies are outgoing and may also be great introduction for any company seeking leads in North America.
