Judges in the 2019 Air New Zealand Cargo ExportNZ Awards have had a tough time deciding the finalists because of the huge diversity and extremely high calibre of the entries.
Comments from the equally top notch judges included that there were so many companies that warranted recognition, and how humbling it had been to meet so many amazing Kiwi companies. They noted in particular the strength of the entries in the DHL Express Best Emerging Business for Goods and Best Emerging Business for Services categories.
Companies from Northland, Auckland and Waikato entered in the 10th annual awards, which celebrate global success locally. The 23 finalists include exporters that offer products and services in manufacturing, beauty, biotech, tourism, technology, pharmaceutical, innovation and food sectors.
In addition to a site visit, the judges take a deep dive into each entrants business to cover off all aspects from their processes and supply chain to financial sustainability and leadership.
The finalists were recognised at an event at Air New Zealand’s Customer Innovation and Collaboration Centre, with the winners to be announced at the Air NZ Cargo ExportNZ Awards gala dinner on June 27.
