Auckland-based tech company The Cable Ferret is showcasing its multipurpose wireless inspection camera and cable pulling tool at NECA in Philadelphia – the largest electrical construction trade show in the US, and this year, for the first time in its 117-year history, being addressed by a sitting US President.

The innovative new product, the Ferret WiFi, is designed especially for electricians and other trades. The Cable Ferret is the only electronic manufacturing company being represented at the show from New Zealand and the Ferret WiFi is being showcased alongside other new products in the Showstoppers arena.

Cable Ferret has designed the world’s most functional WiFi multipurpose inspection solution which uses latest technology electronics to stream high resolution video to smart devices in real time. Unmatched in its build quality, image quality and overall functionality, the Ferret WiFi is suitable for an incredibly wide range of applications.

The Ferret WiFi has been developed to enable faster, easier and more accurate visual inspections and installations for the Electrical, Plumbing, Building, DIY, HVAC, Lighting, Building and Inspection industries.

The wireless rechargeable IP67 Rated Camera has 720p HD streaming and comes with a built-in WiFi hotspot and a wireless range of up to 40 feet. On the front of the camera are six bright white LEDs that provide clear visibility even in complete darkness.

Using the intuitive free App (Android and iOS) it is fast and easy to save video and photos directly to a smart device. Perfect for helping to identify issues, show proof of a problem or proof of a repair which can support quoting and invoicing work.

To support ultimate functionality the Ferret WiFi kit comes with a full range of accessories including a robust camera gooseneck to point the camera in any direction, a short rod for the front of the camera paired with either the hook or the strong magnet.
A variety of thread adaptors are also included for compatibility with the majority of treaded fish sticks/glow rods.
