New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) has recently made several new appointments, locally and internationally.
Nick Swallow is the Regional Director for South America. Based in Sao Paulo in Brazil, Nick oversees NZTE’s offices in Sao Paulo and Santiago, Chile. Prior to taking up this role he was the Director of Marketing and Brand with NZTE in Auckland.
Peter Hobbs has taken up the role of Trade Commissioner to Papua New Guinea overseeing NZTE’s activity in the country. He is based in the New Zealand High Commission in Port Moresby. Peter has held a number of roles at NZTE, including Trade Commissioner in New Delhi and International Market Manager for Australia Pacific. Before joining NZTE he spent two years living in Papua New Guinea working for the New Zealand dairy industry.
Ann Clifford is NZTE’s Consul General and Trade Commissioner to Italy, based in Milan. She leads NZTE’s work to support NZ businesses in Italy and Turkey, where NZTE has an office in Istanbul; and in Israel, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Romania. Ann was previously NZTE’s Communications Director based in Wellington.
Rachael McGuckian recently took up the role of Trade Commissioner to Hong Kong and Macau, based in Hong Kong. Most recently a Coalitions Manager at NZTE in Auckland, Rachael has previously been a Sector Manager and a Customer Manager. In 2012 Rachael was the Acting Trade Commissioner to Italy and Turkey.
Dylan Lawrence joined NZTE in June as Capital Director, based in the Auckland office. He leads a team of New Zealand-based Investment Managers who work closely with NZTE international Investment Managers to attract high quality investment into New Zealand. Dylan is of Ngati Raukawa and Ngati Toarangatira decent. He holds Law (LLB) and Commerce (BMS) degrees from the University of Waikato and is admitted as a legal practitioner in New Zealand.
