New Zealand bespoke design and build landscapers, Zones, have extended their franchise company to Florida, continuing the success of the business that demonstrates Kiwi ingenuity.

Zones landscaping ticks all the boxes, according to co-director Matt Steele. It would explain the phenomenal success the franchise business has experienced in under five years.

From The Lord of the Rings through to individual employment, New Zealanders are recognised overseas for their work ethic, innovation and “kiwi ingenuity”. It’s a formula which contributed to the formation of Zones, a landscaping franchise which offers customers end-to-end project management as well as landscaping maintenance. Based on the design and build model of global success Refresh Renovations, Zones is guided by the principle that landscaping projects, big or small, needn’t be a stressful experience.

“The Zones process delivers peace of mind and a single point of contact to undertake projects from briefing through build”, says Zones’ newest franchise owner Kyle English of Pensacola, Florida. “Within our unique process, homeowners receive a personalised design, fixed quote, and the ability to sit back and relax as we turn their outdoor space into the place to be.”

It’s a process which was prompted by the rather fragmented residential renovation sector. Refresh Renovations estimates that poor communication, a lack of upfront planning and an absence of organised systems leads to approximately 30 percent of residential renovation project budgets typically being wasted. Zones addresses this issue.

“Zones is a full-solution landscaping company that has a unique design and build process”, emphasizes Matt. “This means homeowners can stop worrying about budget blowouts, horrible experiences, and instead enjoy the experience of their new landscape or outdoor living project.”

It’s an approach which homeowners have widely embraced. Since launching in 2015, Zones has experienced substantial growth.

“With a footprint of fifteen franchisees, we are now the largest residential design and build landscaping company in New Zealand”, says Matt. “The United States is a huge market but has the same industry issues as New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Australia. With a great team in place, led by United States-based CEO Paul English, we expect the US to be a massive growth opportunity for us in the months and years to come.”
